Job Details
- Required Qualifications: Registered American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Radiologic Technologist (RT) (R) and Computed Tomography (CT) credentials; New Jersey state X-ray license; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; high school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) credential; completion of a radiographer technical training program from a school of radiography or college-based radiography program.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience operating computed tomography scanners.
- Schedule: Night shifts consisting of four 8-hour shifts per week, scheduled Saturday through Tuesday from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., for 40 hours per week.
- Additional Information: Responsibilities include performing CT procedures; verifying patient identification; assessing patient tolerance of contrast; screening for allergies and medication incompatibilities; following venipuncture and power injector protocols; maintaining sterile fields; responding to emergencies; coordinating patient flow and transport; communicating with patients, families, nursing staff, radiologists, and other departments; maintaining equipment, supplies, inventory, and work areas; recognizing and reporting equipment malfunctions or unusual findings; and transmitting and verifying urgent images through the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) and Radiology Information System (RIS) according to established protocols.
