Job Summary
The CT Technologist position in the CT specialty is based in an unspecified location. This role involves performing diagnostic imaging procedures utilizing computed tomography (CT) to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. The technologist is responsible for maintaining patient safety, adhering to protocols, and providing exceptional patient care throughout each procedure.
Job Details
- Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: High school diploma or GED; completion of a radiographer technical training program from a school of radiography or college-based radiography program; ARRT RT (R) or ARRT RT (CT) certification; NJDEP New Jersey State X-Ray License; BLS Certification; 0 years of experience required.
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Additional Responsibilities: Obtain necessary supplies for procedures, maintain sterility, prepare requisitions, communicate effectively with patients and families, adhere to HIPAA regulations and verify patient identity, monitor patient condition before and after contrast injections, ensure availability of medical records, participate in routine cleaning and inventory of supplies, and assist in managing emergency situations.
- Clinical and operational duties include triaging procedures, coordinating workflow, maintaining cleanliness and orderliness, notifying of equipment malfunctions, and following established protocols for imaging and patient safety.
- Must be currently registered as a CT Technologist and maintain necessary licensure and certification, including CPR.
- Shift notes: Employees are scheduled Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 12 a.m., with call required.
