Job Summary
CT Technologist, CT — Lakeway, TX. The position performs high-quality computed tomography and X-ray imaging procedures for diagnostic evaluation in accordance with established protocols. The technologist works independently overnight, supports stroke and trauma imaging needs, and provides safe, compassionate care to patients.
Job Details
- Schedule: Nights; 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week; Thursday through Saturday, 7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.
- Required Qualifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in radiography (R) and computed tomography (CT)
- Texas Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) license
- At least 2 years of experience in computed tomography and X-ray
- Stroke and trauma imaging experience
- Ability to work independently and remain self-sufficient overnight
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with GE computed tomography and X-ray equipment
- Experience with Samsung portable imaging equipment
- Additional Information:
- Performs diagnostic imaging procedures according to exam protocols.
- Prepares patients and imaging areas, positions patients, and applies appropriate equipment settings and exposure factors.
- Follows radiation safety, infection-control, medication, sterile technique, and hand hygiene protocols.
- Verifies patient information, requisitions, medical history, and pregnancy status before procedures.
- Maintains accurate imaging records and supports equipment quality and cleanliness standards.
- Communicates procedures clearly to patients and families while maintaining a calm, professional approach.
- Thanksgiving holiday coverage is required.
- Assignment length is 13 weeks, beginning 11/16/2026.
