CT Technologist, CT — The Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist performs diagnostic imaging procedures and supports the clinical evaluation and care of patients in trauma, emergency, inpatient, outpatient, research, and specialized procedure settings. The role promotes radiation safety, patient-centered care, technical excellence, and ongoing learning as imaging technology evolves.
Job Details
- Schedule: Day shift, 10-hour shifts, 40 hours per week. The schedule includes Sundays and Wednesdays from 8:30 PM to 7:00 AM, with no on-call responsibilities.
- Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of an approved two-year American Medical Association (AMA) radiologic technology program and high school graduate
- New York State registration in diagnostic radiography or a limited permit to practice in New York State
- Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), or CPR/automated external defibrillator (AED) certification
- Additional Information:
- Performs Computed Tomography (CT) examinations for trauma, emergency, outpatient, inpatient, intensive care, and research patients
- Assists with specialized CT-guided procedures
- Creates diagnostic images using CT modality expertise
- Provides safe, positive patient experiences
- Supports teaching and continued professional learning
- Practices and enforces radiation safety measures in accordance with New York State Department of Health Code Part 16
