Job Summary:
The Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Technologist (CCL Tech) position is based in Weston, Wisconsin. This role involves monitoring, circulating, scrubbing cases, and assisting physicians in a busy cardiac catheterization laboratory environment. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The position offers a standard Monday through Friday schedule with 8-hour shifts, including call coverage in the evenings and on weekends.
Job Details:
- Location: Weston, Wisconsin
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts, with call 1 to 2 nights per week and every third weekend.
- Required Qualifications: Valid certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) — American Heart Association (AHA), and Basic Life Support (BLS) — AHA. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory setting.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with Cerner or Merge electronic medical record systems; previous clinical experience with a similar scope of practice.
- Additional Information:
- Unit comprises four labs, including three cardiac labs and one electrophysiology lab, with an average of 6-7 cardiac cases and 1-2 vascular interventional radiology cases daily.
- Common patient diagnoses include coronary artery disease, NSTEMI, STEMI, heart failure, and aortic stenosis.
- Cardiologists are on call from 7:00 to 17:00 or until cases are completed.
- Potential floating to other units depending on coverage needs.
- Hospital supplied scrubs are required, along with specific unit and hospital orientation.
- Must clock in and out at the facility.
