Job Summary:
A Pediatric Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Technologist position is available in Tacoma, Washington. This role involves providing specialized technical support for pediatric cardiac catheterization procedures within a level II pediatric trauma center with a dedicated catheterization and electrophysiology laboratory. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

  • Location: Tacoma, Washington
  • Position: Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist
  • Shift Schedule: 0700-1730; 10-hour shifts, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: At least 2 years of clinical experience, prior pediatric cardiac catheterization lab experience preferred; Certifications required include Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Radiologic Technologist (RCIS and/or ARRT), and current Washington state Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech) and/or Certified Interventional/Specialized Cardiovascular Technologist (CISC) license
  • Experience: Experience with pediatric congenital diagnostic and interventional procedures such as LHC/RHC, PDA/VSD/ASD closures, septostomy, congenital structure stenting/ballooning, collateral closure; Pediatric Electrophysiology procedures including pacemaker implantations, loop recorder implant removals, and radiofrequency ablations for SVT, WPW, atrial Tach, PVC
  • Monitoring Experience: Preferred in PACS (Picom), Hemodynamic (Merge), and C-arm (Siemens Artis) systems
  • EMR Experience: EPIC Cupid (preferred)
  • Float: No
  • Weekend Rotation: Call only for weekend coverage (1-2 weekends per month, approximately every 3rd week)
  • On Call: Seven call shifts in a 3-week rotation, including weekends; weekday call from EOS (end of shift) to 0700 the next day; weekend call from EOS Friday to 0700 Monday; response time is 45 minutes; no sleep room available
  • Scrub Uniform: Provided by the hospital; lead scrubs available in standard sizing only
  • Additional Information: No floating required; department call rotation for holiday coverage is included in the on-call schedule
