Job Summary:
The Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Technologist (RT(R)) position is based in Puyallup, WA, within a facility that features a Level III Trauma Center with 375 licensed beds. This role involves performing diagnostic and interventional procedures in a fast-paced acute care environment. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The position offers a rotating schedule with weekend and weekday on-call responsibilities.
Job Details:
- Location: Puyallup, WA
- Schedule: 10-hour shifts, starting between 0600-0700 depending on on-call duties; 40 hours per week, with a rotating day off each week.
- Required Qualifications: Certification in BLS, ACLS; ARRT or RCIS License; WA State License; Minimum of 0 years of experience; Experience with Cath Lab procedures, scrubbing and operating tables simultaneously; EMR experience with EPIC; Vaccinations including Covid vaccine.
- Preferred Qualifications: Monitoring experience, experience with equipment such as GE Alea C-arm, Merge hemodynamic system; Ability to float to Auburn Cath Lab (15 minutes away) up to once per week.
- Responsibilities: Assist with 8 cases per day in 2 Cath Labs, supporting diagnostic and interventional procedures including LHC/RHC, NSTEMI/STEMI, Impella, IABPs, rotablator, CTOs, shockwave, temp pacers, peripheral diagnostics, EP devices such as Micra, pacemakers, AICDs, and lead revisions. Provide support on the unit including orientation, assisting with equipment, and maintaining patient safety.
- Shift Details: Day shifts, with on-call coverage on weekdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays; night call only 1 holiday per contract. No sleep room available; use of Admit/Recovery unit permitted if necessary.
- Support and Equipment: Support from scheduler, charge nurse/lead tech, respiratory therapy, hospitalists, intensivists, and cardiologists. Experience with EPIC EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis medication dispensing, Picom PACS, and hemodynamic systems preferred. Techs may need to float to nearby facilities; orientation includes first day NEO session with the organization.
