Job Summary
The Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Technologist is a specialty healthcare professional located in the area. Job Details
- Certifications: AHA Basic Health Care Life Support (HCP) Certification, Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification within 3 months of employment, and RCIS exam or Radiologic Technologist License within 1 year of hire.
- Education Requirements: Graduate of an accredited cardiovascular technologist, radiologic technologist, or applied science program. An Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in a health science field is preferred.

- Experience: 2 years of experience in a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory or invasive procedure area in an acute care hospital.
- Schedule: Dayshift, 10-hour shifts, minimum 40 hours per week.
- Responsibilities include preparing and organizing equipment, assisting with patient positioning and monitoring, calibrating and testing transducers, assisting with vascular access and hemostasis, maintaining equipment standards, and participating in on-call responsibilities.
- Must have proficiency with manifold systems, sterile operative techniques, and hemodynamic monitoring.
- Additional skills include excellent communication, knowledge of radiation safety standards, and familiarity with digital cine technology.
- Required physical capabilities include lifting a minimum of 40 pounds, pushing/pulling 100 pounds, and standing for at least 4 hours daily.
