Job Summary:
The Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist position is based in a specialty care hospital in the central region of Michigan's upper peninsula. The role involves working within the cardiac imaging department, supporting adult and geriatric patient populations with advanced procedures such as angiography, angioplasty, and other vascular interventional techniques. This assignment offers flexible start times and is ideal for professionals seeking an engaging environment in a comprehensive cardiac care setting.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Day shifts, 10 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Certification in Cardiovascular Technology or related field, BLS and ACLS certifications, valid state licensure, and a minimum of 0 years of experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with general procedures including angiography, angioplasty, arterial line insertion, coronary angioplasty, CTO, intra-aortic balloon, Impella, intravascular ultrasound, stent placement, thrombolysis, venography, wave wire, hemodynamic & other calculations, right & left heart catheterization, structural heart procedures, vascular interventional (contrast administration, emergency procedures, peripheral, thoracic, PE), and electrophysiology (EP) studies.
  • Additional Information: Orientation is bi-weekly; the facility features a 200-bed capacity and the cath lab suite operates with Merge Hemo and Cerner electronic health record systems. The unit cares for adult and geriatric patients, with patient ratios and specific equipment details available. The role requires on-call responsibilities, with a requirement to punch in 30 minutes from the call time. Scrubs are provided; appropriate scrubs color and attire are mandated.
