Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist, Cardiac Cath Lab specialty — The role supports adult patients in a cardiac catheterization laboratory setting and assists with advanced cardiac procedures. The position requires critical care experience, proficiency with specialized cardiac support equipment, independent drip titration, and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Job Details
- Schedule: Day shift, 10 hours per shift, 40 hours per week, with required on-call coverage.
- Required Qualifications: Critical care experience; experience with Impella and intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) procedures; experience independently titrating drips; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification; registered nurse license.
- Additional Information:
- Supports adult patient care in a cardiac catheterization laboratory, inpatient holding area, and outpatient radial lounge.
- Performs and supports left and right heart catheterizations, drug studies, valve procedures, septal defect procedures, stent placement, angioplasty, atherectomy, mechanical thrombectomy, temporary pacing, pressure wire procedures, and related cardiac interventions.
- Utilizes specialized equipment, including optical coherence tomography, intravascular ultrasound, Impella, intra-aortic balloon pump, pacemakers, rotational atherectomy, orbital atherectomy, intravascular lithotripsy, pressure-sensing technology, and mechanical thrombectomy systems.
- On-call coverage generally includes one weekday per week and one weekend per month, with weekday call from 4:30 PM to 7:30 AM and weekend call from Friday at 4:30 PM through Monday at 7:30 AM.
- Scrub attire is facility-provided blue clothing.
- Assignment dates are 11/09/2026 through 01/04/2027.
