Job Summary
A Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist specialized in interventional radiology with experience in cardiovascular procedures is needed in the area. This role involves assisting with a variety of invasive and diagnostic procedures within the cardiovascular procedural area, utilizing ionizing radiation while ensuring patient safety, image quality, and adherence to safety standards.

Job Details

  • Position Description: Cath Lab Technologist with interventional radiology experience preferred, performing procedures such as endovascular, diagnostic peripheral, interventional peripheral, dialysis, and non-vascular procedures, including drainages and biopsies.
  • Required Qualifications: Graduate of a JRCERT accredited Radiologic Technology Program, current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), current license as a Radiologic Technologist in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, minimum of two years post-technical school radiology experience or two years of experience as a Special Procedures Technologist, completion of on-the-job training within six months of hire or recent experience within past two years, Basic Arrhythmia Examination, current Basic Life Support Certification, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification, and experience with intra-aortic balloon pump.
  • Schedule: Rotating shift; 8 hours per shift; minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Additional Information: The technologist will assist in all aspects of invasive procedures including scrubbing, circulating, monitoring, and recording hemodynamic parameters. Responsibilities also include preparing and positioning patients, coordinating workflow, assisting with contrast media administration, maintaining equipment, and participating in ongoing education and departmental initiatives. On-call required for off-shifts, weekends, and holidays.
