Job Summary
The Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist (CCL TECH) position is located in a healthcare facility. The role involves performing and assisting with invasive cardiovascular procedures, ensuring patient safety, optimal imaging quality, and compliance with safety standards under physician supervision. This opportunity requires a dedicated professional to support diagnostic and interventional procedures within the Cardiovascular Procedural Area.

Job Details

  • Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: High school diploma or GED, graduate of a JRCERT-accredited Radiologic Technology Program, current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), current Massachusetts Radiologic Technologist licensure, minimum of two (2) years post-technical school radiology work experience or recent experience as a Special Procedures Technologist, Basic Arrhythmia Exam, Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP) certification.
  • Schedule: Rotating shift, 8 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Provides support during invasive procedures, including scrubbing, circulating, and monitoring.
  • Assists physicians with the administration of contrast media for arterial, venous, and percutaneous procedures.
  • Demonstrates thorough knowledge of anatomy, physiology, radiation safety, and equipment operation.
  • Maintains and cleans interventional equipment, participates in departmental training, and supports quality improvement initiatives.
  • Uses lead apron during procedures; on-call availability required for off-shifts, weekends, and holidays.
