Job Summary: Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist (CCL TECH) — Fargo, North Dakota. This role supports cardiovascular services within a cath lab environment, assisting with a range of diagnostic and interventional procedures, including coronary stent interventions and select neuro and peripheral vascular procedures based on candidate experience. Candidates must bring their license on the first day.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 4–10 hour shifts, Monday through Friday, with rotation of call every 3–4th weekend, along with 1 night of call per week; minimum 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: 2 years of recent experience; Basic Life Support (BLS) — American Heart Association (AHA); Radiology/Cardiovascular credentials as applicable including Certified Radiology Cardiac Interventional Specialist (RCIS) (or Certified Radiology Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES)) or Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) (R); proficiency with sterile technique; ability to scrub and assist with cardiac angiograms/interventions and neuro angiograms/interventions, including vascular endograph/peripheral vascular angiograms/interventions and pacemaker implant/device cases; clinicians certified through Clinical Corporation of America (CCI) performing imaging (panning and activation of fluoroscopy) must hold the ND Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist or Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist license.
- Preferred Qualifications: Demonstrated working knowledge of diagnostic radiographic principles, including radiographic positioning, film/image processing, quality control, and radiation protection; preferred working experience that includes left/right heart caths and percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) (including rotablader and shockwave), pericardiocentesis, intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP)/impella insertion and removal, peripheral vascular procedures, electrophysiology device insertion/removal, PFO/ASD closure, and electrophysiology ablations; familiarity with EP and structural heart cases based on candidate experience.
- Additional Information: Call team consists of a 4-person team; candidate would not work alone. Orientation will be tailored based on assessed experience level, including 1–2 days with a mentor. Charting system: EPIC.
