Job Summary: Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist (CCL TECH) — Erie, PA
The Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist performs invasive cardiac imaging procedures at a technical level that does not require constant supervision. Responsibilities include ensuring proper patient preparation, radiographic techniques, radiation safety practices, aseptic technique, and accurate documentation in the electronic record. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Monday through Friday 8 hour days (7:00am to 3:30pm) and Monday through Friday 8 hour days (8:00am to 4:30pm), with on-call coverage for evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays; minimum 40 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Basic Life Support (BLS); ARRT Cardiovascular-Interventional Radiology (ARRT) or ARRT certificate; or Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist; or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist; ability to support imaging procedures, radiographic techniques, patient preparation, equipment operations, patient monitoring systems, radiation safety, aseptic technique, aseptic time-out process, first assist functioning, contrast administration under direction of the procedure physician, stand-by call coverage as scheduled, point-of-care testing standards (including daily quality control), and electronic record documentation; licensure requirements must be brought on the first day
  • Preferred Qualifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • Additional Information: Performs imaging procedures requiring independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative; administers contrast under the direction of the procedure physician; maintains continuing education and competency requirements for the position; ensures images are properly coded and tracked through PACS and properly networked to the appropriate electronic record for archival and interpretation; supports universal protocol and two patient identifiers; documents patient history in the electronic record as required
