Job Summary:
A Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Technologist position is available in Baltimore, Maryland. This role involves monitoring and assisting with invasive diagnostic cardiac procedures, including left and right heart catheterizations, Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI), intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) insertions, temporary pacemaker placement, and pericardiocentesis. The candidate will also support cardiac device implants and electrophysiology (EP) studies and ablations, including treatments for Supraventricular Tachycardia (SVT), Atrial Flutter, Atrioventricular Nodal Reentrant Tachycardia (AVNRT), and Premature Ventricular Contractions (PVC). Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

  • Required Qualifications: Certified Radiologic or Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Technologist (RT); Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications; current license; no minimum experience required.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in monitoring invasive cardiac procedures, device implants, and electrophysiology studies is advantageous.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required.
  • Additional Information: The cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology labs operate Monday through Friday, with EP procedures scheduled on Tuesday, Thursday, and half-day on Fridays. Staffing typically includes four technicians, with a five-person call team during EP days. The on-call rotation varies during weekdays and weekends occur every 4th or 5th weekend.
