Job Summary:
This position is for a Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist located in Bakersfield, California. The role involves working in a STEMI receiving facility with responsibilities spanning cardiac, coronary, vascular, peripheral, general interventional radiology (IR), and neuro intervention procedures. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The position offers daytime shifts and requires working every other week as well as being the first to float to different units as needed.
Job Details:
- Location: Bakersfield, California
- Schedule: Days, Every Other Week (EOW), first to float
- Required Qualifications: ARRT certification, Fluoroscopy certification, BLS certification; minimum of 2 years of cath lab experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience handling conscious and moderate sedation, procedural processes, airway management, and cardiac drips such as Integrilin, dopamine, and vasopressors.
- Additional Information: Candidates should have experience with balloon pumps and be comfortable with STEMI receiving procedures. The lab features five suites dedicated to various interventional cases, with case volumes varying from 10 to 22 cases per day. Call responsibilities include rotating inpatient and emergent cases, with weekend call once per month. The hospital can cancel up to four shifts per 13-week assignment, with pay arrangements potentially including full hours for cancellations.
