The organization is seeking an Operating Room Technician (ORT) in the Surgical Technician/Operating Room Technician specialty. Job Details
- Position Description: Provides specific patient care duties and performs unit support activities in the operating room suite. Ensures compliance with practices, policies, and procedures; completes mandatory regulatory requirements; and delivers quality care to operating room patients. Responsible for assisting with dressings, cast applications, and case selections following physician preference cards.
- Required Qualifications: High school education preferred, with a minimum of three years' experience as a scrub person in a hospital setting. Proof of certification as a Scrub Tech preferred with BLS for Healthcare Providers required. Must be proficient in orthopedics, neurosurgery, and robotic surgeries, especially when working on general cases without heart procedures.
- Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Additional Information: The role includes responsibilities such as signing counts, updating surgeon preference cards, and participating in process improvement initiatives. Candidates should be prepared to work additional or different shifts as requested and contribute beyond routine responsibilities, including teaching and cost-saving suggestions.
