Job Summary
The Surgical Technician/Operating Room Tech position is based in en_US. Located at a short-term acute care facility with a Level II Trauma Center, this role involves assisting in a variety of surgical procedures, including neuro, ortho, general, gynecology, robotics, pediatrics, plastics, ENT, ophthalmology, maxillofacial, kidney, and pancreas transplants. The technician will support the operating room team by preparing instruments, maintaining sterile environments, and ensuring smooth surgical workflows.
Job Details
- Position: Surgical Technician/Operating Room Tech — OR
- Certifications & Qualifications: BLS, NBSTSA certification; valid license in the state; at least 1 year of experience; experience with cardiovascular procedures, robotic systems (preferred), and neuro skills (hardstop requirement).
- Schedule: Evenings shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week, starting on 11/16/2026 and ending on 02/15/2027.
- Responsibilities: Assist with a wide variety of surgical procedures, scrub for neuro, orthopedic, general, gynecological, robotic, pediatric, plastics, ENT, ophthalmology, maxillofacial, and transplant surgeries. Must be able to scrub a wide variety of cardiovascular procedures. Support may include managing surgical instruments, maintaining sterile fields, and assisting with specialized equipment such as the Da Vinci Xi Surgical System.
- Additional Information: The position may require floating between units; specific requirements include being able to scrub neuro procedures and supporting cardiovascular surgeries. Candidates must be able to work scheduled weekends and holidays, with required on-call duties once per week.
