Job Summary
Electrophysiology (EP) Specialist in the CCL EP specialty is needed at a healthcare facility. This position involves supporting intraprocedural patient care within the Electrophysiology Laboratory, working with adult and geriatric patient populations. The assignment spans approximately 13 weeks, with a schedule of four 10-hour days per week.
Job Details
- Location/Unit: Electrophysiology Lab at a 350-bed healthcare facility.
- Position Description: Support intraprocedural patient care in the Electrophysiology Laboratory, including scrub and circulate duties, with a focus on adult and geriatric patients.
- Qualifications: Certification as RCES or RCIS, with at least 2 years of clinical experience and 2 years of specialty experience required. Additionally, candidate must have prior travel experience, and a minimum of 1 year of clinical work.
- Schedule: 10-hour shifts daily, from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, totaling 40 hours per week.
- Responsibilities: Perform scrub and circulate procedures, support patient care, and operate necessary systems and modality documentation, particularly within EP computer-based competencies.
- Certifications/Training: Must complete required EP computer-based competencies.
- Units & Support: Support staff includes 3–5 ancillary staff members, with no required leadership or charge experience.
- Additional Information: Floating may be required to Cath Labs if EP is closed and scrub support is needed. The unit handles adult and geriatric patients aged 18 and above. Proper sterile attire, including hospital-provided scrubs and closed-toe shoes, must be worn. RTO during the first two weeks is not permitted; up to 8 days of RTO are allowed for the entire 13-week assignment. Vaccination against seasonal influenza is encouraged and must be documented if received.
