Job Details
- Position: Surgical Technician/Operating Room Technician, OR Specialty — Wausau, WI
- Shift Schedule: Rotating, 8-hour variable shifts with a minimum of 40 hours per week
- Start Date: 11/02/2026
- End Date: 01/30/2027
- Certifications: BLS, CST license REQUIRED; NBSTSA or NCCT accepted (AHA or ARC certifications required)
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate Degree or Certificate preferred
- Experience: 2+ years of Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) experience REQUIRED; prior travel experience is necessary, with a minimum of 2 years in similar settings
- Required Skills: Cardiac/Thoracic surgery experience, thoracic robot experience, adept at setup and turnover of operative rooms, capable of performing downtime tasks such as pulling case carts and cleaning
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Operational Requirements: Ability to respond within 30 minutes for cases, availability for call-back (minimum 2 hours), and participation in holiday and weekend rotations every third weekend
- Additional information: The facility uses Epic charting system, and the candidate must be willing to work during flu season with adherence to vaccination policies.
