Job Summary:
The organization is hiring for a Surgical Technician (Operating Room Technician) in the OR Specialty. This position involves providing technical assistance during surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining a sterile environment within the operating room. The role requires supporting the surgical team by preparing the operating room, assisting with instrumentation, and handling surgical specimens.
Job Details:
- Position: Surgical Technician/Operating Room Technician
- Specialty: ORT — Operating Room Technician
- Schedule: Rotating shift; 8 hours per shift, minimum 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Certification in Surgical Technology or related field, graduation from an accredited program, Relevant experience of at least 1 year, valid location requirements in the designated area, and a minimum of 1 year of experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of aseptic techniques, experience with surgical instrumentation, and familiarity with sterilization procedures.
- Additional Information: The Surgical Technician will prepare the operating room for surgical procedures, assist physicians, handle surgical specimens, ensure proper sterilization of instruments, and monitor surgical equipment. The role involves adhering to all safety and asepsis protocols, directing the care of patients in the operating room environment, and performing CPR as needed. The candidate must maintain a cooperative disposition within the OR room.
