Job Summary
The organization is seeking a Surgical Technician/Operating Room Technician (ORT) for a pediatrics, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient care setting in en_US. This role involves supporting surgical procedures within a Level III trauma facility, primarily during day shifts with some call shifts and weekend coverage. The technician will assist with a variety of surgical cases including orthopedics, gynecology, urology, general, and sports medicine.
Job Details
- Position Description: Surgical Technician (ORT) supporting surgical teams during day shifts with scheduled call shifts and rotating weekends, primarily working 8-hour days.
- Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association), Surgical Tech certification (NBSTSA or TS-C from the NCCT).
- Education Requirements: Active certification and current license verification are required at the time of submission.
- Location Requirements: Candidates’ permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility.
- Experience: 0 years of experience required; previous travel experience is highly preferred.
- Schedule: Day shifts, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week. Call shifts are 6-7 per month, including weekends every 4th or 5th weekend, with each call period spanning from Friday afternoon to Monday morning, plus individual night shifts.
- Additional Information: Must be proficient in general and specialized surgical procedures such as total joints, C-sections, orthopedics, gynecology, urology, and sports medicine. Previous travel experience is highly preferred.
- Submission requirements include documentation of skills proficiency, a supervisory signed reference from the past year, current American Heart Association BLS certification, surgical tech certification, license verification, and proof of permanent address.
- No local candidates are considered. RTO requests must be for three days or less.
