Job Details
- Position: Pathology Assistant (PA)
- Location: New York
- Schedule: Days Shift, 8 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: NY State license; Bachelors Degree in Biology or related science with certification of Pathologists Assistant Program or equivalent; 1 year of experience; BLS (AHA) certification.
- Preferred Qualifications: ASCP certification.
- Additional Information: Assist in gross examination, tissue dissection, specimen accessioning, labeling, and preparing tissues for histology. Support the organization of pathology grossing tasks, troubleshoot Voice Recognition issues, and assist with post-mortem examinations as needed. Maintain communication with pathology staff and update training manuals regularly. Operate laboratory and office equipment safely and efficiently, demonstrating attention to detail and adaptability.
