Job Summary:
The healthcare organization is seeking an Interventional Radiology (INTRA CL) professional for a position in the Cath Lab and Vascular Interventional Radiology (IR) located in the acute care setting. The role involves performing a variety of cardiac and peripheral procedures within a fast-paced environment, supporting the cardiology team during complex interventions, and ensuring patient safety through adherence to established protocols.
Job Details:
- Position description: Perform cardiac catheterizations, peripheral procedures, and assist with complex interventions in a busy cath lab/IR suite with an average of 4-5 cases daily. The role requires familiarity with invasive procedures, X-ray equipment, and working with EMR systems such as Epic and Dynamics.
- Required Qualifications: BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association; minimum of 1 year of experience in interventional radiology or cath lab; current licensure or certification as a Radiologic Technologist with ARRT (R).
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 0700-1530, with approximately 10-11 call shifts per month that include weekends, working 12-hour shifts.
- Additional information: The role includes working alongside a specialized cath lab team, providing care for adult cardiac patients with procedures including PCI and device implantation, but excludes ablations and electrophysiology responsibilities. Candidates should be familiar with equipment such as the Acist injector and experienced with intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP) and intraoperative ultrasound (IVUS). The role involves floating to non-invasive cardiovascular areas when necessary, with a floor-specific orientation provided.
