Job Details
- Position Description: The MT performs, interprets, and correlates clinical laboratory tests according to established protocols. This includes operating, calibrating, troubleshooting, and maintaining laboratory instruments and equipment, ensuring proper documentation of quality control activities. The role involves identifying and resolving routine equipment issues and reporting complex malfunctions to the Laboratory Supervisor.
- Qualifications: Candidates must possess a current license in the state where the laboratory is located and meet one of the following educational requirements: Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, Biological Science, or Chemical Science from an accredited institution; or Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or Laboratory Science from an accredited institution; or successful completion of an accredited clinical laboratory training program approved by ABHES, CAAHEP, HHS, or another recognized accrediting organization. ASCP certification or equivalent is required.
- Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week.
