Job Summary
Medical Technologist (MT) – Aspirus Rhinelander. This position involves providing laboratory support with a focus on phlebotomy, urinalysis, chemistry, and kit test processing. The role requires flexibility to toggle between lab assistant and Medical Technologist responsibilities, primarily performing phlebotomy, with scheduled shifts including days, evenings, and nights.
Job Details
- Shift Time: Rotating schedule including 8, 10, and 12-hour shifts
- Position Description: The candidate must have a strong blood bank background and phlebotomy skills, with ABG experience preferred. The role involves primarily lab assistant duties with phlebotomy responsibilities, and processing urinalysis, chemistry, and kit tests. Flexibility to perform both lab assistant and Medical Technologist tasks as needed.
- Required Qualifications: MLT or MT or CLS certification; Associate or bachelor’s degree; Minimum of 3+ years of core laboratory experience; Located outside a 50-mile radius from the facility; Experience requirement: 0 years.
- Schedule: 8-hour shifts, rotating, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Preferred Qualifications: ASCP certification (preferred but not required).
- Float: Float rotation may be required to Tomahawk, Eagle River, or Howard Young. Floating can be prescheduled if needed.
- Additional Information: Will be responsible for phlebotomy, processing various tests, and toggling between responsibilities. Must be resilient, social, and adaptable to change. During flu season, any traveler who declines flu and COVID vaccinations must wear a mask at all times, in adherence to policy.
