Job Summary
Ultrasonographer, General — This position is based at a healthcare facility serving the Springfield/Franconia area. The role involves general ultrasound scanning, including pediatric stomach cases, in a fast-paced environment. The technician will work primarily during evening shifts, with opportunities for float as needed, supporting patient care and diagnostic imaging operations.
Job Details
- Certifications and Qualifications: BLS (must be American Heart Association accredited), ARDMS certification, at least 2 years of ultrasound experience, including scanning pediatric stomach cases. MSK (Musculoskeletal) knowledge is a plus.
- Location: Inova Springfield/Franconia Healthplex—a service of Inova Alexandria Hospital.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 1500-2330 (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM), with an expectation of working approximately 8 hours per day and a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Responsibilities: Perform ultrasound scans, including pediatric cases, in two-room, two-machine setups using Samsung equipment. Candidates must be able to support no weekends, with call and holiday shifts incorporated into the schedule.
- Additional Information: 1-week floor orientation is required, and EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) access is necessary. Flexibility to float to Inova Alexandria hospital and offsite locations is required as needed.
