Physician / Neurological Surgery (Neurosurgery)

Work Dates Needed: 4/3/2027-10/11/2027 
Preferred Schedule: 24H IP Call- 7a-7a. 7 shifts per month 
Worksite Setting: Inpatient 
Scope of Work: Rounding, consults
Licenses, Certifications, Requirements: Board Certified, active KY license, ABLS, ATLS, ACLS and DEA. Open to candidates with IMLC license. 
EMR: EPIC 
Neurosurgery is in search for a Part Time Neurosurgeon (MD/DO) for Locum Tenens due to Providers taking Vacation.
Boards: Neurological Surgery (ABNS) 
Board level: Board Certified (Required)
License Requirement: Active KY license or Active IMLC license only, accepted.
Certifications: ABLS, ATLS, ACLS
Skills/Procedures: Neurosurgery only: Spinal and cranial procedures . The locums would not have to complete any elective surgeries scheduled by other physicians in the practice; just inpatient/ED surgery call. Physician will need to be comfortable performing surgery independently while on-site during the day. 
Shifts available: 24 Hour Inpatient Call (MD/DO), Orientation (MD/DO) (total shifts needed 7/month) - 7a - 7a (8 hrs onsite rounding/consults - with night pager call).
*2027 coverage needed: Availability can be flexible within and around these dates, if necessary.
4/3 - 4/12 - ending at 4/13 at 7am
7/24 - 8/8 – ending at 8/9 at 7am
10/2 - 10/11 – ending at 10/12 at 7am
Night Call: 5-10 per night to consult the ER to review films & determine need for surgery. (However, all scans will be overread by radiologists). The vast majority of calls do not require going into the facility. If there is a need to go on-site, it would be once a night. It’s extremely rare to have to go in-person more than once per night.

Workload: Day Shift (Rounding/Consults): 10-15 daily
