Job Summary
Medical Laboratory Technologist - Night Shift - in a healthcare facility environment. This position involves performing laboratory testing to support the organization’s diagnostic and treatment objectives. The role requires working a 7 on/7 off schedule, with shifts from 7 PM to 7:30 AM, including every other weekend and holiday coverage as scheduled.
Job Details
- Position: Medical Laboratory Technologist, specializing in laboratory testing and specimen processing.
- Location: Night shift, working Wednesday through Tuesday on a repeating weekly schedule.
- Qualifications/Skills: Must have graduated from an approved school of Medical Technology or Laboratory Science with an Associate’s (for Medical Laboratory Technician) or Bachelor’s (for Medical Technologist) degree, and be certified/registered by a recognized certification agency such as MLT(ASCP), MLT(AMT), MT(ASCP), MT(AMT), CLS(NCA). Minimum of one year of experience preferred. Knowledge of hospital laboratory practices, infection control, and governmental policies required.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 10 pounds, walk, stand, and sit for extended periods, with proficiency in using computer and laboratory equipment.
- Cognitive Skills: Strong reading, writing, calculation skills, and the ability to multi-task and adjust priorities efficiently.
- Language: Fluency in English, with effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Certificates and Licenses: All applicants must comply with applicable criminal records checks and declare any arrests or convictions related to child abuse or violent felonies.
- Schedule: Night shift, 8 hours per day, minimum 40 hours per week, starting 10/26/2026, through 02/15/2027.
