Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Open Heart Nurse — Location unspecified. This position involves working within the cardiovascular operating room, assisting surgeons by preparing the surgical field, passing instruments and supplies during procedures, maintaining a sterile environment, and ensuring the smooth flow of surgeries. The role requires two years of experience in a cardiovascular operating room setting and certification by the National Board of Surgical Technology.
Job Details
- Schedule: Days shift, 10-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: CST Certification by the National Board of Surgical Technology, BLS certification, strong cardiac surgery skills, thoracic da Vinci experience, two years experience in the cardiovascular operating room setting, and experience working with electronic medical record systems (Cerner).
- Additional Information: Working in the cardiovascular operating room, assisting surgeons during cardiac surgeries, helping in turning over operating rooms, and supporting procedural flow. Scrubs are provided by the hospital. Traveler must attach required license and certifications with submission, including driver’s license and permanent home address matching ID. Must be greater than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted.
- Schedule Details: Working days, 10-hour shifts, minimum 40 hours per week, starting on 11/09/2026 with an end date of 02/08/2027.
