Job Summary
Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonographer – Fetal Medicine, en_US. This position involves performing detailed ultrasounds, including fetal echoes, for high-risk maternal and fetal patients at a healthcare facility. The sonographer reports findings to physicians and assists with procedures such as amniocentesis and CVS. This assignment offers an opportunity for potential permanent employment or continued travel work.
Job Details
- Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: BLS, ARDMS OB/GYN, ARDMS Sonographer Certification; minimum 2 years of experience; location within a 50-mile radius of the facility; valid ARDMS certification.
- Shift: Days, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: OB-GYN ultrasound experience, outpatient experience, familiarity with detailed ultrasound imaging, fetal echo certification, plus ARDMS OB/GYN and BLS certifications.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with amniocentesis, amnio reduction, CVS, PUBS procedures, and proficiency with Epic electronic charting system.
- Additional Information: Sonographers will work in ultrasound environments with high-risk patient populations, performing 7-9 detailed ultrasounds daily and reporting findings to MFM physicians. There are no weekend, night, or major holiday shifts required. Candidates must be available for interview during specified times, and the assignment begins ASAP.
- Submission Requirements: Confirmation of current ARDMS certification, at least 2 years of fetal medicine ultrasound experience, and references covering the last 1 year are required.
