Job Details
- Position Description: Pharmacist Inpatient — Responsible for preparing and dispensing drug orders, interpreting medication requests, maintaining accurate patient medication records, and supervising pharmacy support personnel. Provides clinical services such as drug therapy management, anticoagulation management, medication reconciliation, and patient education within hospital settings.
- Required Qualifications: Graduate of an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy with a Doctor of Pharmacy (preferred) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree, with a valid State licensure. Must have at least 2 years of pharmacy experience, hospital experience preferred. Must hold current pharmacy registration in the State of practice. BLS or ACLS certification.
- Schedule: Varying shifts, including start times from 6:00am to 3:00pm, with 8-hour shifts totaling 40 hours per week.
- Additional Information: The pharmacist will participate in clinical intervention activities such as medication management, pharmacokinetics, and antimicrobial stewardship. Responsibilities also include participating in medication safety and quality improvement initiatives, attending interdisciplinary rounds, and ensuring compliance with hospital policies.
