Job Summary
Certified Operating Room Technician (ORT CERT) — Location: Sioux City. This position involves working as a vital part of the surgical team within a Level 3 trauma center. The role requires professional and clinical knowledge to support patient care and assist in various surgical procedures.
Job Details
- Position Description: Contribute to patient care as a member of the interdisciplinary surgical team, providing technical support during operative procedures.
- Required Qualifications: 2+ years of experience, Epic experience, IA Mandatory Reporter certification, spine proficiency, experience in orthopedics, general surgery, robotics, ENT, and gynecology, prior travel OR experience, skills checklist specific to operating room disciplines, supervision reference form completed within the last two years, NBSTSA (National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting) certification, active American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications, valid driver’s license.
- Schedule: Days shift, 8-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Additional Information: The position requires working 8-10 days in a six-week period after shifts from Monday to Friday, along with 4-5 weekend days per month (Friday through Sunday) and selected holidays. Candidates must be at least 50 miles from the facility based on driver’s license. The candidate will be required to work during the winter holiday period with limited days off between specific dates.
