Job Summary:
Medical Technologist (MT) in the Emergency Room Laboratory (FSED) at a healthcare organization. This position involves performing point-of-care testing, clerical duties, and supporting laboratory operations within a fast-paced environment. The role requires flexibility to cover 24-hour shifts, including weekends and on-call hours, starting in early October 2026 and ending in early January 2027.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid full license as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS, CLS, MT) through ASCP or equivalent certification, with no minimum years of experience required
- Preferred Qualifications: Point of care testing knowledge, proficiency with clerical tasks, and certification as an ASCP Medical Technologist (MLS, CLS, MT)
- Additional Information: Willingness to perform clerical duties as assigned by nursing and laboratory leadership. Candidate must exhibit a professional demeanor and adaptability to support operational needs. Candidate should be comfortable working independently in a clinical setting while maintaining high standards of accuracy and patient care.
