Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Cardiovascular Surgery (Open Heart) specialist position located at an organization’s cardiovascular surgical unit. This role involves assisting with complex open heart procedures, including recent open hearts, vascular, and endovascular surgeries, within a high-acuity hospital environment. The position requires collaboration with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes during cardiac surgeries.
Job Details
- Position Description: CONTRACT - Cardiovascular (Vascular and Endovascular) Surgical Technologist (CST) with on-call requirements.
- Location: Cardiac surgical unit on the first floor of the facility.
- Shift: Days, 10-hour shifts.
- Schedule: 4 shifts per week, beginning on 10/26/2026 and ending on 01/25/2027, with on-call duties.
- Required Qualifications: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification, experience in open heart, vascular, or endovascular procedures, and at least 1 year of relevant experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with CABG, valve repairs/replacements, AAA endovascular & open, AV fistula creation/revision/thrombectomy, TAVR, TMVR, and MitraClip procedures.
- Additional Information: Candidates should be mature, team-oriented, flexible, punctual, and able to adapt to a dynamic surgical environment. Scrubs are provided, with specific dress code requirements.
