Job Summary:
The Labor And Delivery Department in the specified location is seeking a qualified registered nurse for night shifts. The position involves providing direct patient care to obstetrical patients, including those with high-risk pregnancies. The role requires prior experience in labor and delivery and proficiency with electronic health record systems. The assignment is scheduled to start on 10/21/2026 and will last through 01/17/2027, with working hours from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, totaling 36 hours per week.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid MS or compact nursing license, minimum of 2-3 years of labor and delivery experience, prior travel experience, Epic electronic health record experience is required, BLS, ACLS, NRP certifications, minimum of 0 years of additional experience, and current licensing on file
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with circulating in C-Sections, previous night shift experience in obstetrics, and familiarity with high-risk obstetric care
- Float: Float rotation may be required
- Additional Information: The unit is a 15-bed obstetrics ward with 10 labor rooms and 5 high-risk rooms. Care is provided to female obstetric patients, full-term and low-risk newborns, family members, and visitors. Staff do not scrub in surgeries but are involved in circulating. Weekend shifts are required, with 2 weekends per month; no call is necessary. The role involves managing patients with various conditions such as labor, preterm labor, hypertension, PROM, kidney stones, IUGR, and diabetes, predominantly for patients aged 14 and up. A Maternity-Fetal Medicine specialist and hospitalist are available 24/7.
