Job Summary
Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist in the specialty of Cardiac Cath Lab at the location. This position involves performing specialized imaging and diagnostic procedures within the cath lab and interventional radiology suites, supporting cardiac procedures, and ensuring patient safety and procedural efficiency.
Job Details
- Position Description: Unit Cath Lab & Interventional Radiology suites/labs including 7 suites, holding rooms, and 2 cath labs with 2 bays and 5 rooms. Responsibilities include assisting with cardiact procedures such as PCI and device placements for adult patients, with an average of 4-5 cases per day. The team includes 2 registered nurses and 1 technologist, providing 24/7 call coverage and weekend shifts.
- Required Qualifications: Certification as a Certified Radiologic Technologist (ARRT), BLS (American Heart Association), ACLS (American Heart Association), with a minimum of 2 years of experience in the Cath Lab. WV license needed.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 0700-1530, with floating to non-invasive cardiovascular areas as needed. 36 hours per week, scheduled as four 10-hour shifts with approximately 10-11 call shifts per month, including weekends.
- Additional Information: Must be familiar with Acist injector (training provided) and have experience with IABP and IVUS. Shifts may include weekends, call coverage, and holiday work. Scrubs are provided, with navy blue for RNs and burgundy for radiologic technologists. The unit uses EPIC & Dynamics system for charting.
