Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Open Heart specialty position available in a healthcare facility setting. This role involves providing specialized surgical support for cardiac procedures, including open heart surgeries, within a Level I trauma environment. The position requires highly skilled surgical technologists capable of handling complex cardiac cases and adhering to strict clinical protocols.
Job Details
- Position Description: NBSTSA only, no National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT). Open heart experience required. Level I trauma experience required. Candidates must be able to handle COVID-19 patients if necessary. The facility is tobacco and fragrance free.
- Certifications: NBSTSA, BLS.
- Certifications Required: NBSTSA, BLS.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room) experience preferred, with at least 1 year of recent experience in cardiac surgery settings.
- Location Requirements: Candidates should be within 50 miles of the facility.
- Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Schedule Details: Alternating days off, 1-2 call days per week with a 30-minute response requirement, every 3rd or 4th weekend (Friday 4:30 PM until Monday 6:00 AM), and work as needed on holidays with no RTO between Christmas and New Year’s.
- Additional Requirements: Clinical screen to assess clinical fit, including review of certifications and experience.
- Additional Information: Candidate will be expected to care for COVID patients and may be required to float as needed.
