Job Details
- Position Type: Radiation Therapist
- Location: Winchester, VA
- Schedule: Days, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid VA License or status of license, ARRT certification, BLS (AHA), and two years of experience in radiation therapy
- Responsibilities include checking prescriptions and patient identifiers, scheduling treatments, preparing treatment rooms, operating treatment equipment, maintaining patient safety and comfort, and documenting treatment doses.
- Must be able to assist with treatment planning procedures, including tumor localization and dosimetry, and perform during Brachytherapy procedures.
- Additional duties include patient education, monitoring for reactions, maintaining communication with the healthcare team, and ensuring radiation safety protocols.
- Certification requirements include BLS (AHA) and ARRT.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with IMRT, 3-D treatment planning, and treatment setup within a CT environment.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
