Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) nurse position in a healthcare facility. The role involves providing high-quality critical care to patients in the ICU setting, with a schedule consisting of 12-hour night shifts every other weekend. The position requires expertise in cardiothoracic surgery and familiarity with devices such as intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP) and Impella. The nurse will be expected to float between ICU and intermediate care units, supporting operational flexibility.
Job Details:
- Shift: Nights, 12 hours per shift, with every other weekend required.
- Required Qualifications: Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA); minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar critical care setting; cardiothoracic surgery experience and experience with devices like intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP) and Impella are essential; must have been separated from the healthcare provider for at least 6 months to be considered; BILH coversheet required at submission; orientation is weekly; any color scrubs acceptable.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with cardiothoracic procedures and implantable devices.
- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, beginning on 10/05/2026 and ending on 01/02/2027.
- Additional Information: The candidate will be expected to float between ICU and intermediate care units. EPIC documentation system experience is required.
