The nurse will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care during a 13-week contract, supporting critically ill children in a dynamic hospital setting.
Job Details
- Position Description: RN focused on Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Open Heart, responsible for supporting pediatric cardiac patients requiring intensive care.
- Unit: Level Three Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks, from 10/20/2026 to 01/23/2027.
- Schedule: Rotating 12-hour shifts, weekdays and weekends, based on unit needs with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Active Colorado RN License or Multi-State Compact License, BSN required (ADN accepted with 6+ years of relevant experience), minimum 2-3 years of staff RN experience in a dedicated CVPICU/Pediatric CICU Open Heart setting, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Preferred Qualifications: Pediatric Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification strongly preferred, Ventricular Assist Device (VAD) experience preferred, teaching hospital experience strongly preferred.
- Additional Information: No RTO will be approved during the first two weeks of the assignment. Seasonal Influenza Vaccine required; medical and religious exemption requests accepted.
- Travel Requirement: Yes.
- Float Requirement: Yes, within Childrens Hospital Colorado Anschutz Campus as needed, with policy allowing float within thirty-five miles of original assignment unless specified otherwise.
- Experience Requirement: 0 years minimum.
