Job Summary:
Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Specialty Nurse in the Pediatric Critical Care setting available for a 13-week assignment beginning on 10/06/2026 and ending on 01/09/2027. This role involves providing specialized care in a Level Three Pediatric Intensive Care Unit with a focus on open heart cases, supporting critically ill children and their families. The position requires rotating day and night shifts to meet the unit's clinical needs.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 12-hour rotating shifts, hours from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) degree — will consider ADN (Associate Degree in Nursing) with 6 years of experience; Colorado RN license or multi-state compact license; PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), and BLS (Basic Life Support) certifications; 2-3 years of staff RN experience in dedicated pediatric CICU (pediatric critical care unit with open heart cases); previous travel experience
  • Preferred Qualifications: Pediatric CCRN (Critical Care Registered Nurse) certification, VAD (Ventricular Assist Device) experience, teaching hospital experience
  • Additional Information: No RTO (Requested Time Off) approved within the first two weeks of the assignment. The organization reserves the right to float staff or reassign within practice areas of competence within thirty-five (35) miles of the original facility. Up to 75% weekend shifts may be required. No on-call duties are scheduled. Candidate must meet minimum of 2-3 years experience and possess required certifications.

  • Float: Client reserves the right to float or reassign personnel as needed within a 35-mile radius.
