Job Summary:
Electrophysiology (EP) Technician in Salt Lake City. This role involves participating in invasive cardiovascular procedures, including procedure room preparation, patient assessment, and assisting with complex diagnostic and interventional electrophysiology procedures. The position emphasizes a high level of technical skill, teamwork, and patient care within the electrophysiology specialty.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 10-hour days, four shifts per week, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Certifications (one of the following): CCI-Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), CCI-Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES), ARRT-Radiography (R), ARRT-Cardiovascular Interventional Radiography (CV), ARRT-Vascular Interventional Radiography (VI). BLS and ACLS certifications are required. Radiation badge is also required.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in health science from an accredited institution, or graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technology, Cardiovascular Technology, Respiratory Therapy, Nursing program, or diploma/associate in health science with relevant healthcare experience.
  • Experience: Two years of invasive cardiovascular technology or electrophysiology experience (not including academic training).
  • Skills & Experience: Proficiency in electrophysiology procedures, hemodynamic calculations and interpretation, invasive cardiovascular procedures, and equipment operation.
  • Additional Skills: Patient assessment, scrub and monitoring procedures, staff mentoring, patient education, and x-ray safety.
  • Certifications & Licensure: Current registration as a Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist or Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist, BLS, and ACLS or PALS certification. Certification must be obtained within 6 months if not already certified.
