Job Summary:
The Medical Surgical Floor registered nurse (RN) position is based in Tennessee. The role involves float assignments within multiple medical/surgical units, working night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. The selected candidate will contribute to patient care on a fast-paced, high-volume unit, with flexibility required to meet staffing needs.
Job Details:
- Shift Schedule: Nights, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, minimum 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of experience, prior travel experience, Tennessee license or compact license on file at the time of submission, BLS certification.
- Specialty: Medical Surgical Floor (MS).
- Experience: At least 2 years of relevant experience.
- Travel Requirement: Yes, travel experience preferred.
- Float: Float to Emergency Room as needed is expected; float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: Orientation dates are scheduled for 8/31, 9/14, 9/21, and 9/28, with no orientation on 9/7 due to Labor Day. No block schedule offered; flexibility to meet staffing needs is essential. No time off will be approved from 9/19 to 10/17 due to Epic Go Live. The nurse may float among five medical/surgical units and will be required to work in scrubs navy. The Electronic Medical Record system used is Cerner. The unit makes the schedule. The candidate must be available for interviews and offers through the designated process.
