Storm season begins in March and ends in August, but April through late July is considered prime storm chasing season. A number of storm-chasing tour operators are searchable online, with excursions typically leaving from locations in Texas, Oklahoma and Kansas in early season, and then moving to Colorado, Nebraska and the Dakotas in July.
