  March 30<sup>th</sup> is National Doctors’ Day, and we’re sharing our love for
  the physicians who care for all of us – especially during this challenging
  time!

<h2>About National Doctors’ Day</h2>

<p>
  On March 30, 1933, Eudora Brown Almond of Winder, Georgia, began a tradition
  to honor physicians like her husband, Dr. Charles B. Almond. She encouraged
  others to show appreciation by mailing cards to their doctors and by laying
  red carnations on the graves of deceased doctors.
</p>

<p>
  March 30<sup>th</sup> was a historically fitting choice for this holiday, as
  March 30, 1842, was the first time ether anesthetic was administered for
  surgery. In 1991, President George H.W. Bush made the date official by
  proclaiming March 30th National Doctors’ Day, and we’ve been celebrating ever
  since.
</p>

<h2>We Appreciate Our Doctors!</h2>

  Each year, on National Doctors’ Day, we celebrate our physicians for their
  dedication, sacrifice, and contributions to their patients and society. We are
  grateful to our doctors for many reasons. We appreciate their commitment their
  to years of study, preparation, and training, as well as their dedication to
  lifelong learning. We acknowledge commitment to patient safety and quality of
  care. And we see the sacrifices physicians continue to make, especially amid
  this global pandemic.

  This National Doctors’ Day, make it a point to share your appreciation for
  your doctor. Our physicians can certainly use a boost during this challenging
  time! Thank your doctors over social media and use #NationalDoctorsDay. Or
  call the office and leave a message thanking them for caring for you and
  working to keep your community healthy and safe.
