    school positions. This time, we're spotlighting one of our amazing school SLPs.</p>

<p>Here's why Taylor decided to become a school SLP, what she enjoys most about
     working with the Cross Country 
    Education team and schools, and what advice she has for SLPs starting their careers.
</p>
<h3> Why did you become a Speech-Language Pathology professional?</h3>
<p>Becoming a Speech-Language Pathologist is deeply rooted in my personal journey. 
    As a competitive gymnast growing up, I faced numerous injuries that led me to 
    frequent physical therapy sessions. The therapists grew to become my role models 
    and opened my eyes to the incredible impact that these professionals had on my life. 
    They inspired me to want to work with children and to be the person who could 
    empower students to achieve anything they set their minds to. Every child deserves 
    to have a voice and be heard. Witnessing the growth and hard work of each student 
    or client fills me with a great sense of appreciation. It's a special feeling to 
    see them succeed throughout 
    their journey, and it’s that emotional connection that fuels my dedication. </p>

<h3>  What do you like about Cross Country Education (CCE)?</h3>
<p>I love that CCE is always available to help or guide when I need it. They put 
    into account your 
    wants and needs regarding placements and found me exactly what I was looking for.</p>

<h3> What have you liked about working at the schools with CCE?</h3>
<p>The school that I’m at is so accepting of the students AND staff. They truly care 
    about the well-being of everyone in their community. I love that the program combines 
    academics with real-life functional skills and integrates times for 
    the students to use these skills firsthand in the community and their internships.
</p>

<h3> What advice would you give someone starting in your field/profession?</h3>
<p>You can have a lot of new things thrown at you so flexibility is definitely key! Also, 
    be mindful to collaborate with all other professionals in your setting and work 
    together to create the best possible plan of action for each individual student's 
    needs. 
</p>
