This time, we're spotlighting one of our amazing Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists!</p><p>Here's why Julie decided to become a therapist, what she enjoys most about working with the Cross Country Education team and schools, and what advice she has for those just starting their careers.</p><h3>Why did you become</h3><p>I became a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist because I love guiding people through personal challenges, helping ease emotional burdens, and empowering people to achieve a healthier mind. I love working with children and adolescents because I enjoy encouraging, motivating, and empowering their young minds for the transitions in their lives.</p><h3>What do you like about Cross Country Education (CCE)?</h3><p>Cross Country Education has been an amazing company to work with in all aspects. They facilitate all processes for their employees with their open communication and continuous support throughout their employment. If I have any questions or need any assistance, there is always someone who is available to help and are always willing to assist.</p><h3>What have you liked about working at the schools with CCE?</h3><p>What I have liked about working at my school with Cross Country Education is that it has allowed me to be placed at a site where I was welcomed almost immediately by both the staff and the students. Being at this site has allowed me to really focus on the students’ social and emotional needs to the best of my ability to help build their resilience and create a safe space while in school.</p><h3>What advice would you give someone starting as a LMFT?</h3><p>Advice for someone who is starting their career as a Marriage and Family Therapist - try different populations before you decide that you want to work solely with a certain age group, because you might end up finding your niche, and you would have completely dismissed where you would create the most change.
