School nurse Nicole B. shares why she became a school nurse, what she loves about working with Cross Country Education, and what advice she has for those just embarking on their school nurse careers.

  <h2>Why did you become a school nurse?&nbsp;</h2>

    I became a school nurse after working in the ER for several years. I was
    searching for a different way to serve others with a less intense schedule
    and a little less stress.&nbsp;

    What do you like about working as a school nurse with Cross Country
    Education?&nbsp;
  </h2>

  <div>
    I love feeling like I am part of a team. Cross Country has evolved so much
    since I began working with them in 2018. Not only am I part of an amazing
    nursing team, I also feel like we get to work closely with the office staff
    to improve our product and deliver new and improved services every year. It
    feels like we are moving a mountain some days, but it&#39;s really wonderful
    to know that the mountain is moving because everyone is pulling their own
    weight.&nbsp;<br />
    [h2]What have you liked about your experience working as a nurse at CCE
    schools?<br />
    I have recently teamed up with Texans Can Academies, and it has been
    awesome! We have built many relationships with their staff, and it has made
    for a smooth back-to-school program. Because we have built such a great
    relationship, we have been able to be open and honest regarding what works
    and what doesn&#39;t work for them to create a program that makes everyone
    feel confident and safe returning to school. It has been fun to be part of
    the process.

    What kind of advice would you give to someone starting out as a school
    nurse?
  </h2>

  <div>
    I would encourage new school nurses to use a daily planner, write down their
    to-do list each day, and incorporate habits that sharpen organizational
    skills. I would also encourage them to remember their work and effort is so
    important for each student. Everything we do counts and can make a
    difference in the growth and development of our students. We may not
    remember all the people we inspire, but they will remember us. Be
    someone&#39;s light every day.&nbsp;
