<h3>Why did you become a Substitute Teacher?</h3>

<p>I became a sub through the suggestion of my brother, who noticed a newspaper article about substitute teachers being much needed during the pandemic.</p>

<h3>What do you like about Cross Country Education?</h3>

<p>I love the flexibility of CCE. I can choose long-term or day-to-day sub assignments.</p>

<h3>What have you liked about your experience working at schools with Cross Country Education?</h3>

<p>I feel fortunate that CCE caters to South LA schools because I get to learn from and understand the culture of the youth here.</p>

<h3>What kind of advice would you give to those starting out in your field?</h3>

<p>My advice is that if you want to experience the daily grind of a teacher and find out if that is your career calling, and you're not sure, try becoming a long-term sub. This will allow you to build rapport and relationships with students and staff to get a feel for the job. For me, after long-term substitute teaching for about a year, I decided to officially get my teaching credential to teach music, the subject that I went to school for.</p>
